Maggie has always been a dynamic individual when it comes to hair, style & fashion. She’s always been one to stand out in a crowd with her uniqueness.
After graduating from Hidden Valley High School in 2006, she entered the Onyx Intern Program and quickly found out that she was a natural stylist. She now enjoys being the Assistant Instructor to Kate Lagueux, Head Instructor of Onyx.
Maggie is also excited about being part of the Rusk Education Team as of July 2007.
- What is your favorite thing about being a hair designer?
Everything! Shampooing the client all the way to finishing touches! Getting to express my creativity through a haircut or coloring service, and seeing the clients response…that makes me overjoyed to know they like it!
- What products could you not live without?
I could not live without Being Wild and Being gutsy. Only because I have the wildest hair and those seem to tame and give girth to my fine hair. Also my favorite finishing product is Sheer Brilliance. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and gives it incredible shine.
- What would you say is your best strength as a hair designer?
My biggest strength would probably have to be my creativity and ability to have the client tell me what they want and think of some technique that I can use to achieve our goal, and yet still add my own twist. Also, I never do two haircuts the same!
- What is your favorite thing about working with the Onyx Design Team?
That we’re a BIG Family! Everyone is willing to help you out no matter what. It’s like having twelve sister and two brothers. Also, that we always keep our techniques up to date and have tons of fun!
- How would you say Onyx is different from other salons?
The interior is amazing, unlike anything else in this area! We all use Rusk products, techniques, blades, blow dryers, etc… Knowing that our salon only uses one product line shows our clients that we believe in them 100%, unlike other salons that carry multiple product lines.
