Jeanie has been involved with hair for over five years. She went to beauty school during high school & as soon as she graduated, she wished to further her dream and become a platform artist with Rusk. With Rusk, Jeanie is a platform artist traveling the United States to hair shows teaching Rusk education classes to inspired hair stylists. Jeanie’s love for hair design shows in her great ability to listen to her clients needs & desires & then makes them her priority.
- What is your favorite thing about being a hair designer?
I love communicating one on one with my clients, feeling needed by them & helping them with their everyday struggles with their hair.
- What products could you not live without?
The whole Rusk Being line. This line of products is for people who let their hair describe to others who they are. They can thicken, distort, strengthen, & smooth, & they allow you to create your own image.
- What would you say is your best strength as a hair designer?
I listen to what you say you want & by using my creative passion in cutting hair, I can create your own distinctive look.
- What is your favorite thing about working with the Onyx Design Team?
We are a family here at Onyx, a chain that can’t be broken. We have wonderful communication & understanding with each other. We all carry positive attitudes & have a willingness to create a different atmosphere than some of the other salons out there.
- How would you say Onyx is different from other salons?
We are here to raise the bar on the salon standards set today. We all had a vision to create a new atmosphere & experience.
- Why did you become a RUSK Educator?
RUSK is about cutting edge techniques & educating stylists on how to turn those techniques into cuts that fit each client’s needs & style. It’s not about showing off tons of fancy hairstyles… RUSK also teaches us to educate our clients on how to manipulate their innovative products to fit each client’s hairstyle needs.
