Brianne Shodowski

Brianne started her internship at Onyx in 2008 with no previous experience in the hair industry. She developed an interest in hair only a few months before she started the intern program and found it to be more intricate than she had imagined. Within a year, she graduated and became a full-time designer with a newfound knowledge of hair. Brianne is very pleased with her career decision. She feels very fortunate for the opportunity to work in such a well known salon where she can continue to further her knowledge and skills every day.





What is your favorite thing about being a hair designer?
I love being able to make people feel good about the way they look.




What hair care products could you not live without?
Thick Spray and Radical Cream. Both help to give you great volume while plumping up the hair shaft to give the result of thicker & fuller hair.




What would you say your best strength is as a hair designer?
I would consider my greatest strength to be my listening skills, and being attentive to my clients’ wants & needs in order to give them the best style possible.




What is your favorite thing about working with the Onyx Design Team?
Everyone on the team has a unique style that compliments the salon as well as each other.




How would you say Onyx is different from other salons?
I feel as though we get to know our clients on a more personal level that helps them to feel more comfortable with their salon experience.




Why do you personally prefer Rusk and in your own words, why do you feel it is the ultimate hair company?
